Description

A Memorium pic for my family's dog, Rocky.

(It was originally going to be posted on either the end of September or October, but it was on hold for other pics - including Inktober. But it's few weeks ago was All Souls Day, then there is a chance to post this. ;) ).

Rocky, our family beagle, passed away at the end of June in age 11. He had a kidney disease, with the other (I forget) that was so rare that it is contagious to humans. So, it was better to put him to sleep. After he passed away, I later on watched Frankenweenie (2012) to see what is like to have a pet loss - along with "Secret Life of Pets."

It was a griefing Summer this year because of the loss of our family pet. Things were different in this family because Rocky is gone. I had experiencing with stages from grief, but I later on got better. Even though Rocky is gone, he's still with us in our hearts. Luckily, I read the "Rainbow Bridge" later on - it's a beautiful poem for pet loss, while it's part of the best Christian belief.

I went to the Remembrance Mass from the Catholic Church for All Souls Day on Nov. 2nd - to remember the loved ones who were gone. When I hold a rose, I thought of Rocky, my deceased Grandfathers, my great aunt, etc... and then I cried. It was the best moment in Remembrance Mass - thinking of your loved ones because you loved them.

I added Victor Van Dort and Victor Frankenstein in this pic because both of them lost (and reunited) with their dead/undead pets (Scraps and Sparky). I know Victor VD never mentioned his grief of pet loss in the movie. However, in Fanfiction.net, there is a fanfic that showed about Victor VD, as a young kid, mourned the loss of his pet, Scraps. So, since Victor F experienced with pet loss, I wonder if Victor VD did the same (which I'm planning to add my story outline for the crossover story).

Luckily, during the frist few stages of my grief, some of my pals shared their experiences of their pet loss.

To people who cheered me up - thank you so much for cheering me up, guys. :happycry:

*To Rocky,

You were a rascal, but you were a loving pet. Now, you're in Heaven with our other dog, Lady.

We'll miss you.
